CUSTOMER REVIEW
A friend and I decided to make some simple bands to give away at a fall festival. She had purchased the name brand loom and bands at Michael's. I decided to see what I could do with a crochet hook and one package of multicolored bands. Well, the local store only had single color packages in stock, so I turned to Amazon, hoping for a less expensive alternative. I selected this package because it offered the chance to try both the "C" clips that come with the name brand bands as well as the "S" clips that are packaged with most of the alternatives. The bands looked colorful, contained a number of desirable colors, were advertised as non-latex, and were some of the most economical bands offered (the price has continued to drop in the past two weeks!)
What I received (from ToyWiz) was 2 packages of 600 bands labeled "Colorful Loom Bands: Latex Free Rubber Bands" (rainbow on the package), 1 package of 600 bands labeled "Zupa Loomi Bands: DIY Rainbow Colors", and an extra package of 2 dozen "C" clips. Each package of bands included 2 dozen "S" clips, so there were more than 85 clips total. I actually now prefer the "S" clips as the bands seem more tightly attached to them on the finished bracelet. The vivid colors in the packages were similar between the two brands: white, yellow, pink, purple, red, orange, turquoise, light blue, navy, lime green (medium green in the Zupa package), and black. Some of the white Zupa Bands had a slight bit of pink bleed to them, but I used them mixed with red or pink bands, and it wasn't noticeable. . I have had less than half a dozen bands that were unusable. All in all, after making 60 simple chained bands in a variety of colors and patterns, I have been happy enough with this purchase to order more from the same vendor.
Added 10/28/2013: I liked these so much that I placed a second order for this product with the same vendor (ToyWiz). While I received a product of the same description, the bands were a different mix. All 3 packs were labeled "Colorful Loom Rubber Bands: Infinite Possibilities," and contained these 11 colors: neon yellow, gold yellow, orange, red, deep pink, fuchsia pink, deep purple, medium blue, light blue, black & white. Pretty vibrant colors, but no navy or green in these packages, so if you are wanting a specific color you might not want to purchase from a generic listing. An extra package of 25 "C" clips was included, in addition to the "S" clips packaged with the bands.
Added 11/4/2013: Placed a third order. This really is a grab bag type of product. These 3 packages came with the exact same packaging as last time but 14 colors: navy, blue. medium aqua blue, turquoise, white, black, red, orange, yellow, pink (2 shades) medium purple, light purple/orchid, & lime. And this time 10 extra "C" clips.
